The famous Turks, the home of Pinoy’s favorite shawarma and kebab, has finally landed in SM Gensan and the number of queuing customers on the opening day until today is something no one expected.
The Generals, as they call the people of General Santos City, have fallen in love with the Turkish delights served by Turks. Since it opened last July 1, the queuing seems like never-ending. You don’t have to be too observant to notice how long the line of customers is leading to Turks compared to other stalls in the Foodcourt. Thankfully, their fast and efficient service is making things easy for Turks lovers.
The bestseller, the Beef Pita!
Turks is known for their Beef Pita Doner and the Chicken Pita Doner. Both are P60 only. You can also order doner on rice for P99. It comes with drinks for P119.
My wife enjoyed her beef pita so much, she ate until the last piece of meat and veggies wrapped in pita bread. She finished a roll of doner without a word.

The doner on rice was a hit too among members of Sox Bloggers who visited during the opening day. Their verdict? It was all worth the pila (queue)!

Did you know that the franchisees of Turks stall in SM Gensan Foodcourt are from Marbel? Mia Miramon-Roldan and Marcella Arcuna-Maresh, who are friends since their high school days in KNCHS, decided to put a partnership business with a brand that is already established and loved by the Filipinos. Mia said, Turks is the top choice for them and it was the best business decision they ever made.
The 10 year-old brand Turks is set to conquer the national food scene with its distinct Filipino take on Turkish menus and Gensan is part of the bandwagon.
Turks stalls and Carts are located in 47 SM malls nationwide. They are also located in other mall branches.
