Koronadal – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Region 12 (PDEA-12) in partnership with the City government of Koronadal conducted today (Thursday) the drug testing among the randomly chosen city hall employees.

The 199 city hall employees from job order, casual and regular positions have been randomly chosen to undergo the test. This is also in response to the nationwide call led by President Rodrigo Duterte’s War on Drugs to eradicate the illegal drug problem in the country.
City Administrator Cyrus Urbano said that by participating in the test, the city government is showing its eagerness as an LGU to check on its employees in terms of illegal drugs use.

Mayor Peter Miguel earlier announced that the conduct of the random drug testing for the city hall employees is all set and is an urgent concern. He even considered conducting drug testing for all employees in all levels. “This is to clean up our own backyard,” he said.
Result of the test is expected to be announced Friday, August 26. []
